Is that even like a real thing because I have NEVER noticed that in my school　

#I mean sure there are like the groups of different people but most of them are about the same size #there’s mainstream and not but there’s no ”POPULAR” or ”UNPOPULAR”

I guess I’ve thought the same thing before - there are definitely groups of people that don’t tend to mix a whole lot, and I can see a person and know more or less what group they’re in, but there’s definitely no POPULAR DUMB JOCKS AND CHEERLEADERS WHO SHOVE THE NERDY NERDY NERDS INTO LOCKERS thing that happens on TV so much

Case in point: my mom and brothers are watching Glee right now, and my mom keeps saying, “Why are people so mean in this school? Do you ever see this really happening? People don’t really act like that!”

Most people have their own group or two and are friends with that group and perfectly fine with everyone else

There are the athletes and there are the internet geeks but they don’t hate or harass each other ever

Maybe I’m just socially isolated because I only ever hang out with the same ~7 people?

Or maybe we’re just really geeky in our school and the prevalence of geeks balances out the would-be “popular” kids
